Musicians wanted for jazz band master class! Bill Ware is offering a seminar series for intermediate level (amateur) jazz musicians looking for an opportunity to play and learn in a small ensemble.
These seminars are geared towards adult amateur jazz musicians who play at an intermediate level, read music and have familiarity with jazz standards as well as some jazz improvisation experience. Talented high school and college students are also encouraged to apply, however this experience is designed for all individuals who are passionate about playing jazz ensemble music!
The size of the jazz groups will be maximum 8 pieces, and may include as many as three or four horns (sax, trumpet, trombone, etc..) guitar, keyboard, vibraphone, drums and bass.
The seminars will be held in Bill’s private studio in Walden, NY. Dates and times will be determined based on the availability of applicants.
Cost: $300 total for four 2-hour sessions. One session per week. Dates will be determined once enough students enroll.
The series will recur and may be expanded to full semester length if there is interest.

Bill Ware is a master vibraphonist, band leader, composer and arranger, who taught with the Harlem Jazzmobile Workshop under the direction of Dr. Billy Taylor and studied with Frank Foster, Barry Harris and Jimmy Owens.
